how to raise a psychopath

Watching another Criminal Minds episode, and remembering I once wanted to write a book on "how to raise a psychopath", about the things I have witnessed in my life, that may be direct causes. All this as a layman of course. Just as an observer.

Then, I remembered those massive fights I had with Adam in the first trimester of this pregnancy, and worry a little... I have to be honest. If, again as a layperson, I recall hearing that punching a woman in the belly when she's pregnant, or major violence, may cause the baby to be abnormal. In the Ted Bundy way of abnormal. To what extent I am responsible, if anyhing is "wrong" with my baby.

Nature vs nurture. "We need to talk about Kevin", with all its subtilities, got me thinking. I didn't read the book, only saw the movie. The movie was disturbing enough... and again, the subtleties were asounding. A very elegant film, considering the subject.
That being said though, the main question this flic was asking the public if nature was more of a cause of psychopathy ( or sociopathy), or if it is nurturing that is responsble.

I'd be curious, if I surveyed people on the internet, what the average person's take on this is. What are the solid influences for a human being to become a sadist or an apathetic drone? Having met people from all kinds of different cultures, walks of life etc, there are a few people I could enumerate, that have narcissistic, psychopathic or sociopathic tendencies, who had very "good" parents. Not much abuse, not much control. Is empathy taught? If parents simply provide for their kid, but neglect their moral edification, can that engineer a cold blooded indivdual? Are there general causes, or is it a gamble, like autism for example ( if it is true that science hasn't found the reason for autism).

I need to nap now. Had a big day going for check ups, and there was a fire drill at the CLSC today. Hoping I'll write here more often...
Pat on the back for today though :)
